Welcome to our cottage, from which you can enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the wilderness and the rugged beauty of Drag Lake. Drag Lake is 5 miles long and the cottage is located near the north end, about a 15 minute drive to the village of Haliburton. Available for rental year around, every season in Haliburton has it's own special beauty to enjoy, from the warm fun days of summer; to the quieter, cooler fall with colors fit for any postcard; to the silent crispness of winter and the warmth of the wood stove.

The cottage is built into the back of a steep ridge, and from the deck you will quite often see deer moving along the ridge early & late in the day. The deck at the cottage offers a picnic table, some chairs and a propane BBQ. The cottage's waterfront is located across the 1 lane dead end road. There you will find a sand beach, with gradual entry soft bottom, ideal for children. Children will also enjoy the sand box & slide. At the waterfront there is a child safe deck (complete with muskoka chairs) which leads out to the dock, where you will find a row boat & canoe (please bring your own life jackets). For the more advanced swimmers a raft floats a little ways offshore. And what better way to end the day than a campfire in the pit by the shore listening to the loons?
Winter brings a different kind of outdoor fun. Snowshoes are provided for those who wish to try a "traditional" winter hike and ice conditions permitting we keep a skating rink shovelled on Drag Lake for your enjoyment.

The cottage was completely renovated during the summer of 2002 and offers all the comforts of home. It features an open concept with the living room and eat in kitchen, perfect for families. Both of these rooms have vaulted pine ceilings to add to the brightness of the cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and all pots, pans & dishes. The water is supplied by a drilled well, but being that we aren't on property regularly to test it, we recommend that you supply your own drinking water. The kitchen table has seating for 4, but a leaf can be put in there are 2 extra folding chairs in the closet to easily accommodate 6 people.

There is ample seating with a large sectional couch and loveseat. For the cooler times of year there is a glass fronted wood stove to give the cottage a wonderful warm glow! Wood is provided during the fall, winter & spring.
